About Jean-Philippe

Jean-Philippe Hecquet became Chief Executive Officer of Maison Rémy Martin and member of the Rémy Cointreau Group Executive Committee in February 2022.

In addition to the values he shares with Rémy Cointreau, including a sincere attachment to terroir and savoir-faire, Jean-Philippe Hecquet is a field oriented profile, with over 20 years’ experience in the luxury fashion sector. His extensive background in operations, product, retail and management of prestigious brands has been instrumental to take Rémy Martin and Louis XIII - the two brands of Maison Rémy Martin - towards new ambitions. His great knowledge of the world, from America where he has lived to China and Asia where he has opened many boutiques, particularly support the direct-to-client strategy of Louis XIII.

Jean-Philippe’s previous position was CEO of one of the oldest and most respected French fashion houses: Lanvin. Previously, he spent four years as Global CEO of Sandro, where he developed the French brand into a global fashion powerhouse across 43 countries with over 600 stores.

Prior to joining Sandro, Jean-Philippe enjoyed a successful career at Louis Vuitton (LVMH), where he served multiple different roles in the span of over 14 years. Starting out in operational positions in Paris and North America — where he served as Vice President of Operations — Jean-Philippe moved on to become General Manager of Louis Vuitton Canada, eventually completing his tenure at LVMH as International Retail Director at Tag Heuer.

Having often collaborated directly with creative directors, working closely with them to ensure that collections enhance brand desirability while aiming for global appeal, Jean-Philippe now watches over the cognac collection of the almost three-hundred-year-old house.
