As part of Black History Month and Cyber Security Awareness Month, this engaging event will feature a 30-minute Q&A session moderated by SU President, Teresa Janikova, followed by 15 minutes of open-floor questions from the audience and a 15-minute networking session.

Speaker Biography:

Valeen Oseh-Ovarah is the Founder and CEO of TisOva, an AI-driven scam detection and prevention app designed specifically for students. A multiple award-winning cybersecurity professional and ex-Fraud & Cybercrime Investigator, Valeen has collaborated with leading tech companies and financial institutions to combat online fraud. As a Black immigrant tech founder and innovator, she is passionate about diversity and inclusion in tech. Valeen volunteers as a UK STEM and CyberFirst Amabasdador, an initiative of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), promoting diversity in tech and inspiring the next generation of tech talents. Valeen is also the founder of Female Founders First CIC, a community supporting female founders across the UK with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
